Christopher Jon - Yesterday and Today

Today is our grandson-in-law's birthday!
Chris is married to our first grandchild, Amber.
He's a very important part of this large family,
 a very important part of this smaller, large family
and an even more important part of this even smaller, large (and growing) family.
I wrote about Chris in 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2014 again, and 2015 and those posts tell you a lot about Chris since we first met him.  Further, the following pictures will show how he's changed 'through the years'.

So now I want to talk a little about what's gone on in Chris' life during the previous year.  First of all, he's continued to use everyday activities as learning opportunities for his kids
 Including sharing his impressive engineering skills.
And he spent his first winter holiday in Gulf Shores with his giant extended family.
where he continued to share his engineering skills with the kids
and also honed his already awesome dance moves.
Also this year he became a father old enough to have a child losing baby teeth...
And after years of hard work, he was rewarded with a Foreman's position a few months ago which came complete with this:
And, finally, this year Chris is happy that their family is indeed growing AGAIN!  The new member should arrive just before Christmas.
So it's been a busy year for Chris.  And of course, there's more I need to add.  He has a great sense of humor.
And he's always sweet, loving, and kind.  He's considerate to his children, his wife, and his family;
and he's incredibly hard working - which is my only criticism of him and that's only because with all his long hours, we just don't get to see enough of him.  (And that's really only a tongue-in-cheek criticism.  lol)
So Chris is everything you could ever want in a grandchild-in-law and more.  He's felt like part of the family from the very beginning and has been loved and appreciated by the entire family ever since. We're very proud of this hard-working, helpful, conscientious family member and we're wishing him the happiest of birthdays but one only half as great as the many, many more to come.
