Trey Cooper - Through The Years

Yesterday was Trey's third birthday.  He's the youngest child of Mike and Sarah (our youngest).  They live in Louisville, Kentucky and his party was yesterday.  Unfortunately this is a busy time of year and traveling just didn't fit in especially since we knew we'd see him in a very few days.  So yesterday we wrapped 60 gifts, got a piece of electronics working (which can be quite a time-consuming challenge for us), and wrote out all our Christmas cards.  We also looked over the birthday presents we bought for Trey and got them ready for wrapping.  But we forgot one important thing.  Yesterday was actually Trey's birthday and I didn't get his birthday post up until now.

So hopefully better late than never, here's Trey, pictorially, through the years.

There's a lot more to be said about Trey besides the fact that, although he's changed and grown over the years, he's retained his adorableness and his 'Trey sense of humor'.

For one thing he's a good gamer - especially for his age.

He definitely a budding athlete.

He knows how to work out the most complicated problems with his best friend/cousin, Eli.

He does a good job feeding Grandma's koi.

And has the cutest little inquisitive face ever.

And although, he's quite the little daredevil

He's still a loving Mama's boy,
 And Daddy's boy,

who's adored by his big brother and sister.

Actually he's an important part of a pretty wonderful family.

In closing, I have to point out that he steals his grandma's heart by loving her ice cream cones.
No matter what the finals results are.

Oh and he has his uncles wrapped around his little finger.

Obviously I could go on and on but I guess I have to stop somewhere.  Here's hoping his birthday in Louisville was great and celebrating again at the Christmas house will be great too.

Happy Birthday a little late to our wonderful 3-year-old yesterday grandson.

Harry Robert - Through The Years

 Happy Birthday, Harry!
Today is Harry's 66th birthday.  He and I have been together for almost 45 years so the pictures go back a long way.  Unfortunately, they're  a little sporadic at times and of terrible quality at times but here is Harry, pictorially, through the years.

So you can see how he's changed over the years (and, yes the only picture in my computer of him between 1971 and 1980 is of him playing Jarts) and how he's evolved.

The following pictures show other interesting things about him.

He was once in a band called the Hustlers
He was in the Air Force when we got married.
He soon was the father of six.
Who are now all grown up and have families of their own.
He's loved every child in his life from the first grandbaby.
To the the latest great grandbaby.
It's been a rite-of-passage for each of these babies to discover his mustache.
And then as they got older to try to mimic its movement.
He's also young at heart and fun-loving.

especially with his grandchildren.
He's very helpful.
 especially with his grandchildren.
Here he is with the rock he and David found for our water garden.
He has a great sense of humor.... which he shares with his children.
And he's not only athletic but enjoys a variety of sports.
He worked for the same company for 45 years.  Here he was #6 in the plant.
 And recently retired as #3.
He's a wonderful person - kind, considerate, and loving.  And I've been blessed to spend the last 44 years married to him.
So Happy Birthday to a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, and all around wonderful guy.  Thank you for being who you are!!!
