David was our 7th grandchild and 5th grandson.
He's a very important part of this large family
And, of course, a very important part of this wonderful,
athletic, and fun-loving family!
I wrote about David last year for his birthday and in that post is a link that can take you to all his previous posts.
Here's a little series showing how he's changed through the years.
And here's what's been going on in David's life since last year's birthday post. Right now he is in volleyball preseason which involves lots of practices but which results in big improvements. I think he mentioned working out and doing lots of jumping? But I wonder how he could be stronger
or have a bigger vertical than he had last year?
He also had a busy, fun, and interesting winter break this year. First of all, he got to attend his first NFL game where the Colts played the Ravens!
Then he went to Gulf Shores to spend time with the big, extended family
but flew out early to practice with his team in a Las Vegas facility prior to flying to Hawaii to play against D1 ranked teams like #5 Hawaii and #12 USC and D3 ranked team #2 Stevens!
In addition to those awesome volleyball experiences, he got to do all sorts of other activities in beautiful Hawaii!
David has also continued to do well academically in college getting all A's and B's and maintaining a GPA of 3.65! And through all this still has time for at least some social activity. But despite that socializing, he was named to the all academic team for D3 and this season is going to start as middle blocker.
David had a busy summer too working for Interstate Moving Company. He worked many hour and in fact, his last 2 weeks he worked a total of 153 hours! It was hard work in hot and humid weather but he felt it was worth it because he was able to pay off his FAFSA loan for his freshman year! Wow!
But there's lots more to say about David than what he's been accomplishing! He's a wonderful, fun-loving,
agreeable, personable, and loving person. Everyone enjoys being around him including all his cousins right down to the very youngest.
And his birthday this year was a day without practices but spent with friends and most especially Jannell which made it a happy birthday for sure!
So, David, we know you had a happy day and we're wishing you a year even more happy and successful and filled with new experiences than the year you just had! As you know, we love you very much and couldn't be more proud of you! Happy Birthday!
