Amy

Today is Amy's birthday!
Amy was our second child and second daughter.
She's an important part of this core family
that evolved into this giant family
and of course an important part of this, her own, core family
that evolved into this large family.  (the newest member of this large family, Knox, is in the picture but he's still in his momma's belly)
I wrote about Amy on her birthday last year in this post and visiting there will show the links to all her previous posts.
And those links will take you to many pictures and stories of how she's changed over the years.
So I'll just post a few pictures here.

and talk a little about what's been going on in her life during the past year.  To begin with, she's done a lot of driving - Jenna's softball practices, Jeremy's band practices, Jenna's softball games and tournaments, Jeremy's parades and concerts, Jeremy's job, and her own job all keep her on the road quite a bit.  And the past year might be more about lasts than firsts.  Jeremy graduated from high school
and a beloved fur baby, Sheba, closed her eyes for the last time.
Jenna left the Blue Jays travel team
and joined the Gold travel team which, because she's the consummate softball mom, is a big change for Amy but one she's very happy with.
She is the paraprofessional for a new student this year and has enjoyed the experience so much that she looks forward to going to work every day.
And she became a grandmother for the sixth time.  Here she is with number six, Knox.
So that kind of sums up Amy's year but there's lots more to say about her.  She enjoys her time in Gulf Shores every winter,
her time with her hubby, Tracy,
and her time with all her grandchildren.  Here she is with Aubrey.
And she's still great with animals,
children,
and she knows all the cool gang signs?
So it should be clear that Amy is a wonderful daughter, mother, grandmother, friend and sibling. She's fun-loving, smart, selfless, a great sport, and always the first one to lend a hand.
So Happy Birthday, Amy!  We're hoping your day has been wonderful and that the coming year is even better.  We love you and could not be more proud of you!
