Jeremy Andrew - Yesterday and Today

Today is Jeremy's 17th birthday.  He was our 9th grandchild and 6th grandson.
Jeremy is an important part of this large family.
And an important part of this smaller large family.
And an even more important part of this smaller family.
I wrote about Jeremy in 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, and 2015.  Those posts tell you a lot about him and how he's changed through the years.
And the following pictures will show you how he's changed physically through the years.

So now I'm going to talk a little about what's been going on in Jeremy's life during the past year. Early last summer he welcomed his brand new niece, Emma Jean.
And during the summer he did some camping and fishing with his family.

and practiced his golf game which helped him be a key player when his team won the Washtenaw County Ryder Cup.  He scored the maximum points possible for his team and here he is with the team trophy.
On September 8th, he started his junior year of high school.
And during his junior year he continued to be very active in his band and shortly after his holiday in Gulf Shores with his very large family,
he looked forward to the Lincoln High School Band trip to Disney.  Here he is on the bus, in the very lower right hand corner.   And it was on this bus that the band spent the night during a terrible snowstorm in Tennessee.
But they made it to Disney only a day late and had a great time.
In the Spring he looked forward to golf again and shot an 81 for 4th place and the All Tournament Team at the Sturgis Invitational.
He attended his first prom.
And continued to be an awesome uncle to the nieces and nephews that he loves so much
and an awesome brother to the sisters that he loves so much.
He also continues to play his guitar regularly
and finally to round out a very busy year, he got his first job.  Where?  A golf course of course.
And there's more that all these pictures and stories don't tell you - so I will.  Jeremy is one of the finest, smartest, and hard-working kids you could ever find.  He's also courteous, thoughtful, and handsome and we could not be more proud of him.  So Happy Birthday, Jeremy!  We're hoping it's the beginning of your best year yet but it's only half as great as the many more to come.
