Jared Michael

Today is our 4th grandchild's birthday and here's a little bit about him!

Jared took his time at first. Lori, his mother, was in the hospital for a couple of days before Jared got his little hiney in gear; but once it was in gear, he was out like a shot!

He was an adorable, engaging little guy from the get-go.

As a toddler, he was meticulous in his play and could line up Matchbox cars and trucks endlessly. And always, perfectly.

He was a wonderful brother and playmate to his little sister.

And a loyal and devoted companion to his older brother:

He took things in stride including terrible insect bites:

And not having a place to sit at his brother's ball game:

He knew how to play dead at the beach complete with the lolling tongue:

And he's always been willing to lend a helping hand at home.

Even when he had to improvise because Emily got the rake first:

He's always liked my ice cream cones better than anybody.

And, he's been known to do some pretty amazing dancing at family celebrations:

In fact he and his brother, Ryan, performed a parody of a popular song during Christmas week that had us all dying. They were fantastic!

Overall, Jared is a wonderful young man. He's loving, courteous, and pretty much willing to try anything. We're so proud of him and so is his big brother.

This morning, Ryan and seven of his Senior class friends went to Jared's homeroom. With the teacher's blessing they started singing Happy Birthday to him at which time the whole class joined in. And I think that says a lot about what a wonderful young person he is.

Jared, we're so proud of you and we love you very much. Happy 15th Birthday!
