Monday Musings About Mr. Right's Side

Speaking of catching up (previous post), I can't believe how long it's been since Mr. Right has re-connected with his cousins. Last week one of his favorite uncles was buried and although a lot of the family got together at the funeral home, it's just not the same as a more relaxed, social get-together. So arrangements were made to meet at a local restaurant Saturday night.

It was fun from the get-go. I'm not sure what it is that makes all these people so likable and enjoyable to be around but maybe they're a lot like Mr. Right and of course I find that endearing and attractive. After all they share similar senses of humor and personalities. What's not to like?

The family that I knew better than the others is the one that Mr. Right's family always shared Thanksgivings with. They are:

Jim, here with his son Ralph:

Darlene (Dar) here with her husband, Tom. Darlene is the one that deserves the credit for putting the whole event together.

And Barry, with his wife Tracy:

The representative from the family of the deceased is Bill (Reggie) and his wife Kay. They live in Alamogordo, NM which is ironic because that's where we lived for 3 1/2 years back in the day. Now we're a little jealous that they get to be there and we don't. Back then, we spent every moment longing to be back in Indiana.

The only other couple is....you guessed it. I guess if I'm putting everybody elses pictures in, it's only fair to include this one.

It was a great evening, and I hope that the next time Bill is in town (he's the only one from far away), Darlene puts together another get-together.
