Beth's You Capture subject his week is serene and my first serene photo pays homage to our men and women in the military. With two sons in the Army, a holiday like this one holds special meaning to our family. And thanks to all the brave members of the military, a picture of our flag can actually be 'serene'.
I knew the perfect spot to capture serenity would be Striebel Pond. You know, the swans swimming on the quiet water? But alas the swans are gone. I caught a couple of serenity shots there (that's where I captured the flag) but there just wasn't a lot of variety.
Then yesterday, just before sunset, when the air was still and the temperature was warm, Mr. Right and I headed up to the beach. And I think our beach and harbor area really says Serene.

The first one is awesome!! I had the same thought for serene because of Veteran's Day, but I never did get a good flag shot, so I especially love yours.

ReplyDeleteLove all of the shots, the flag, Streibel Pond, just awesome. I really love the beach shots, very pretty, for some reason I love the lit lamp post with all of the lights in the background. It's so cool! I also love the moon and the tree, gorgeous!!!

Oh, wow. I gasped at the last few shots, they're THAT good. And I LOVE the third from last one. The one that's all crooked? Some folks may not have posted that because the horizon isn't level, but I think it is the off angle of that shot that make me like it so much. Nice!
