Evan Graham

Our sixth grandchild and fourth grandson was born right on schedule on May 7th of 1997. We were very glad he was on schedule too because we had flown all the way to Hawaii to meet and greet him and we didn't want to go home without doing so. He was the third grandchild that I got to be in the delivery room for and one of those was a c-section so it was still a very new experience for me. I felt very honored that my daughter-in-law was on board with my being in the delivery room.

From the very beginning he was a fun, loving, and fun-loving little boy. He could have everybody in stitches just because he was so much fun to play with and his laugh was so infectious.

As a young boy, there was only one thing that Evan seemed to want more than anything else in the world. He wanted to be a big brother and when he became one in August of 2006, he stepped into the role like it was made just for him. He's a loving, helpful, and patient brother to his little sister, Tessa.

He's a boy (young man) who likes to know how and why everything works. With his inquisitive, imaginative mind, I know that someday, he will be the book writer that I expect to have in my family.

He's also kind, considerate, smart, thoughtful and generous.

Evan, we love you and are so proud of you! Here's hoping your thirteenth birthday is your best birthday ever but not as great as all your birthdays to come.

Happy Birthday!
